Subject: ICFA nominations and IF neutrino mailing list

Hi Alan,

Would you mind distributing the following email to your nuSTORM collaboration email list?
Also, is it possible to communicate this to the MAP group?

Dear All,

As many of you may know, ICFA has decided to set up a neutrino panel with the following mandate:

    "To promote international cooperation in the development of the
     accelerator-based neutrino-oscillation program and to promote
     international collaboration in the development a neutrino factory
     as a future intense source of neutrinos for particle physics
     experiments."

It is proposed that the panel be composed of 15 members; five each for Asia, the Americas and Europe. In addition to the geographical balance, the panel should have a balance of expertise ranging from theory and phenomenology, neutrino experiment and accelerators.

After discussion in the neutrino session at the recent Community Planning Meeting at FNAL (Oct 11-13), it was decided to use the mailing list set up to coordinate the neutrino community contributions to the Community Summer Study to ask for nominations for U.S. members of the panel.

We ask that you please send your nominations to the Intensity Frontier neutrino working group conveners:

      * Andre de Gouvea <degouvea at northwestern.edu>
      * Kevin Pitts <kpitts at illinois.edu>
      * Kate Scholberg <schol at phy.duke.edu>
      * Sam Zeller <gzeller at fnal.gov>

by November 9, 2012 and we will communicate these to ICFA.

Our apologies if you receive this email more than once. Please feel feel to forward this to anyone whom you think would like to send in a nomination. Also, if you would like to join the IF neutrino mailing list and stay in touch on plans leading up to the Community Summer Study in Minnesota, please let us know.

Sincerely,
- Andre, Kevin, Kate, and Sam
